4 December 2018

IMPORTANT:  Please rest assured, the limited range of potentially affected items were immediately withdrawn from sale on Wednesday, 5th December 2018

Overview

Charlesworth Nuts has recently been informed that some metal fragments were found in products containing Diced Dried Apricots. The issue has been traced back to the external supplier of this product and occurred as a result of the malfunctioning of their dicing machine.

We want to apologise for the inconvenience this product recall may cause, and we are working to refund all affected customers. We appreciate the continued support of our valued customers and have been overwhelmed with support during this time. Providing high-quality products is one of our highest priorities and we strive to resolve this issue quickly and efficiently. We encourage you to enjoy our products and gifts, knowing with full confidence that all affected products have been removed from our range.

Please contact us to organise a refund for the affected products. If you purchased your product from one of our retail stores you may return there to receive your refund or replacement (where possible).

No, thankfully all of your apricot favourites, such as Chocolate Apricots, Apricot Coconut Slice, Apricot Fruit Pieces and Whole Dried Apricots & more are not made using the affected ingredient and are fine to consume.

Can I replace the Diced Dried Apricots with whole Dried Apricots?

Yes! We encourage you to visit our store or phone us and we can supply the loose ingredients for all of the baking kits again, plus some Whole Dried Apricots to substitute the Diced Dried Apricots. All you will need to do is chop them up and you will be able to make your cakes, puddings and muffins again. We sincerely apologise for the time & effort put into any cakes already made and hope you can still enjoy your favourite Charlesworth treats this festive season.

Are Whole Dried Apricots affected?

No, our whole Dried Apricots are sourced from a different supplier and are safe to eat.

What about Muesli and other Mixes with Dried Fruit?
